Sun, sea, sand and some stunning athleticism was on display at Horseshoe Bay this weekend as Italian duo Matteo Marighella and Alex Mingozzi won Bermuda's first international beach tennis tournament.
The World Champions won the battle on the beach, which saw Horseshoe transformed into a kind-of Flushing Meadows on the Atlantic.
Local players including Andy Bray, Phil van Doninck, Gavin Manders and Mark Cordeiro got their 15 minutes of fame in the purpose-built seaside centre court.
But it was the Italian maestros - flown in for the event by Little Venice restaurant group - that shone in the sun.
They beat American duo Chris Henderson and Phil Whitesell in the final to be crowned champs on Saturday night.
Mark Altheim, the founder of Beach Tennis USA, and Brazlian Ronald Gleicher won the amateur event on Sunday.
Marty Solokas and Jane Minton won the fun mixed doubles event.
